Why we’re building toward intelligence, not just software.
Every operations leader I talk to is confronting some version of the same challenge.
The work is becoming more complex. Skilled labor remains difficult to find. Customers expect faster service, greater visibility and better outcomes. And operations teams are being asked to accomplish more, often without increasing headcount.
You cannot solve that challenge simply by adding more people. The organizations that are pulling ahead are finding ways to get more from the people, processes and systems they already have.
That’s the problem TrackVia was built to solve, and it’s why I want to talk not only about what we are introducing today, but where we are going next.
Software that runs the work, and now starts to understand it
For years, TrackVia’s role has been straightforward: give operations heavy organizations one place to run the work that can’t afford to go wrong. Work orders. Inspections. Assets. Field operations. The record of what happened, where it happened and who did it. That foundation is not changing. The flexibility to shape TrackVia around the way your operation actually runs is still one of the primary reasons customers choose us.
What’s changing is what we can now do with everything that foundation has captured. Every workflow your team has run through TrackVia, every inspection, every closed work order, every asset record, creates operational knowledge. Historically, that knowledge has lived inside the TrackVia system. Increasingly, we believe it should help tell you what is happening across your operation, what deserves attention and where you may need to act.
That’s the shift behind today’s release, and the direction we are building toward well beyond it.
Starting from what’s already proven
Part of that shift is making it faster to put TrackVia to work in the first place. Our platform includes pre-built modules for many of the workflows operations teams run every day, work orders, inspections, asset and site operations and preventive maintenance. These modules are informed by years of experience supporting thousands of practitioners who’ve already configured TrackVia around their own operations. You’re not starting from a blank page. You’re starting from something proven, and then shaping it around the way your team works.
That foundation matters more now than ever, because it’s also what makes the next evolution possible.
Bringing AI into the work you’re already doing
Today we’re introducing TrackVia MCP, a standard way to connect TrackVia with the AI assistant your team already uses: Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, or whichever one you’ve already trusted. The goal is not to force customers to adopt another standalone AI tool. It is to allow the AI tools customers already trust to interact with TrackVia in a secure, governed way, helping users work with applications, workflows and operational information while respecting the permissions and controls already in place. Nothing should change simply because AI is present. Users remain in control.
Alongside MCP, we’re rolling out TrackVia IRIS, our AI for operational intelligence. TrackVia IRIS lets your team ask a question in plain language and get an answer straight from your own TrackVia data, without leaving the platform or waiting on a report. It’s read only. It answers questions. It doesn’t take action on its own, and it doesn’t replace anyone doing the work. It just gets the answer to the person who needs it, faster.
Still built for wherever the work happens
None of this matters if it doesn’t work where operations actually happen. For many of our customers, the most important work doesn’t take place behind a desk. It happens on job sites, in plants, across facilities, in warehouses and in the field. That’s why we continue investing significantly in mobile. We’ve rebuilt our Android app experience on a modern foundation, and we remain committed to capabilities such as offline access because many of the environments our customers operate in do not have reliable connectivity. Operational intelligence is only useful if the person who needs it can access it where the work is actually being done.
This is a step, not a finish line
I want to be clear about what today represents. This is a meaningful step. It is not the end of the plan.
TrackVia IRIS starts with the ability to answer questions accurately, transparently, and based on trusted operational data. That is the right place to start. Over time, we believe IRIS can do more. Helping teams move from asking what happened, to identifying patterns and issues, understanding what deserves attention, receiving recommendations and eventually helping automate appropriate actions and workflows. We’re not there yet, but that is the direction we are building toward. And throughout that evolution, the principles that made TrackVia valuable in the first place will remain; configurability, control, security, and the ability to adapt the platform around the way your operation actually works.
Our customers have spent years building real operational knowledge into TrackVia. Our next chapter is about helping you get much more intelligence from that knowledge, and ultimately helping your teams turn that intelligence into action. Thank you for building with us, for challenging us to be better, and for trusting TrackVia with the work that matters most to your operation.
