Job Description
TrackVia is seeking a Senior DevOps Administrator to help design, build and maintain our operational infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for a dynamic, heavily automated, rapidly growing cloud-based infrastructure supporting tens of thousands of applications created by thousands of our customers. You’ll be working with a team of strong engineers and the most modern technologies.

Our DevOps team thrives on automating processes and incorporating high-availability thinking into every step. We build with a goal of zero downtime, and automate everything from builds to tests to deploys to monitoring. We leverage cloud automation tools extensively to create a highly optimized pipeline from development through to production.

The ideal individual has 7+ years of experience in Linux administration, exposure to AWS or other public clouds, strong analytical skills and technical skills, as well as the ability to interact with senior leadership and thrive in a fast-paced startup. You will be a senior technologist within the team, responsible for both design and development as well as operations of our critical infrastructure.

• Establish environments from build out through production operation
• Proactively monitor system health and performance (Sensu)
• Maintain 99.999% uptime of Trackvia Environments
• Administer Linux OS (Amazon Linux and Ubuntu)
• Develop and maintain strong OS and network security practices (HIPAA Compliance)
• Manage backups, restores, and DR for servers, applications, and databases
• Assist with MySQL administration
• Develop and maintain system configurations (bash, Puppet, others)
• Manage hosted environments using AWS
• Setup and maintain environments for dev, qa, and production
• Participate in a 24×7 on call rotation
• Create and maintain related documentation
• Maintain corporate network (LAN, firewall, VPN)

Required Skills
• 4 year college degree is required
• Strong Linux administration (Ubuntu and Redhat)
• Strong scripting skills (BASH, Python, PHP…)
• Strong TCP/IP skills
• Expert knowledge of deployment software (Jenkins,Puppet …)
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
• Experience working with and developers and customer support teams

• 5+ years experience in a devops environment, preferably in a production web environment.

• Experience with MySQL is a plus

• Experience using puppet
• Experience using git.
• Experience using Jenkins.
• Experience administering Apache and Nginx
• AWS experience including VPC, EC2, Route 53, S3, Cloudfront, and RDS
